Travelling in Finland

I was not suspecting that in 4 months I will visit 4 different parts of the Europe, 4 different cities that porbably to few of them it will be difficult to come back. During those trips i was surprised by many things that i was not suspected to see. But the main thing is that in few of them i made my dreams come true.

Finland. Helsinki. When my friend from my country came to see me, we decided to go to Helsinki. The bus ride was not so long so we get quickly to the capital of Finland. It was Fabruary so the weather was…well as the Finnish winter. It was windy with a lot of snow But it could not be otherwise, after all she came to visit Finland! But it was great anyway. I really liked the city because it is not so big and small. Everything what you want to see is close to each other. So easily we saw the most important buildings and with thin weather we took the boat on Suomenalinna. Again, amazing! Even that snow and wind gave the right climate for that place. Sometimes we feel that’s a creepy place but we have a lot of fun taking the walk around that island. We felt like in the mysterious island from Leonardo DiCaprio movie. We came back home exhausted but happy. Hope I will come back there one day during the spring or summer.Aleksandra5Finland. Lapland. Northern lights. Two words that made my dream come true. Hopefully I was able to saw it during the snowshoeing and aurora hunting event. A lot of snow, night, snowshoes, forest, small lights on the head and then surprised it comes out like in the Brother Bear movie from my childhood. The next amazing thing was to meet Santa Claus during this trip. The whole Santa’s Village have amazing climate and you can feel back to the childhood again. I feel great that I have crossed the Arctic circle for few days.  I also met the Sami Culture and fed reindeers on the reindeer farm. It is so distant for my that I felt even more in that culture. Obviously there was more thing to say because I was there for a week. But those were the main one for me. Of course i will remember whole of them for my whole life.Aleksandra6

Everyday life in Turku

Beep…beep…beep the alarm is ringing. Fortunately it is not ringing. It is the next day when i am fully rested. It is good. My parents already told me that i look better now-  more relaxed. So thanks God for my exchange in Finland and a lot of saunas.Aleksandra2

Anyway, I am waking up with a view of the sun rising behind the window. Finally the days are longer so it is more bright now. I am making the breakfast with my flatmate and taking the shower. I have enough time for everything. Every morning i am putting some songs on the speaker so i can make a day more energetic. After prepaaring myself for whole day I can go plan my day and go outside. Everything depends on whether I have to go to college or on the practice, or spend a day at home. But I am not really a home person so i need to go out to see people. Putting on my earphones and stopping the bus I am choosing library. It is so great. Wish i can have one like that in my hometown then all my projects and homeworks will be done in the same day.  With the music still on, just working and making some researches for my physiotherapy studies. And then normally on the same time I am hearing some strange voices from my stomach. It is time for food and there is always a good time for eating. So I am going to the canteen in the city center which is always full with a lot of hungry students. I can choose what I want to eat for today, add salad and fresh bread. Perfect !Aleksandra4

Then I have to exercise a bit. Again the earphones into my ears, bus and I am on my university to keep the good form. After that, swimming pool and sauna with my best friend. My happiness really rises now. To keep shape and good diet we are preparing some salad with chicken after coming back. I am fully exhausted but as always it seems to be productive and good day. Always trying to do something that Ican feel good after all. I am going to bed with hope that there will be no snow again, next day.Aleksandra3
